Just can't get enough! Nunca es suficiente!
Just wanted to show you a little bit of what I have been doing here in Sarapiquí. Heart of the tropical rain forest of Costa Rica, you can find amazing wildlife, some of them very photogenic and friendly (if you know where to find them and work with somebody that knows how to manipulate it).
These are photos of the Red Eye Tree Frog, and every time I come here, I can’t avoid looking for them and photographing them.
These are nocturnal frogs, so, at night we used regular flashlights to photograph them (high ISO, big aperture, sometimes decent speed, and underexposing a bit because all the background is anyways going to be dark). But we were impolite and decided to wake up a couple during the day to photograph them so we could have day light (and good light for that matter).

Hi Mon,
Really great pictures. I like the most the first one because of the great contrast and and it also is saying that this frog is a nocturnal animal. In the next ones I feel something strange but maybe I am biased with my interest in and knowledge of wildlife – for me this night frog with daylight background…hmm…strange emotions…but anyway interesting idea and experiment.
Thanks,
Brano

Well my friend, you are right… the photos at night are much more real, but it is so hard, that you can not bleam us if we wake it up and make it pose for us… but just for a little while… 🙂
