Intensive Photography Course
A one-on-one photography class where you can learn all the basics you need to take great photographs!
San Francisco Bay Area
The course consists of 20 hours of instruction
16 hours at the location chosen by you (home, work, library… you decide!)
One field trip to the San Francisco Botanical Garden – or another place to be determined (4 hours)
Plus, you will get a book that explains all the concepts studied in the course so you can go back when in need of a reminder! (the book was written by the instructor)

Contents of the course:
THE PHOTOGRAPHIC CAMERA
- The Lens: Focal length; The diaphragm of the lens; Focus ring.
- The Camera Body: The shutter; Electronic sensor; Color space: Adobe RGB and sRGB; JPEG vs RAW; Exposure meter.
- Flash: Fill Flash; Full Flash.
BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY CONCEPTS
- Relation between Aperture-Shutter speed-ISO
- Exposure compensation
- The Histogram and the correct exposure of the photograph
- Depth of field
- To freeze or record motion
- White Balance
- Shooting Modes
COMPOSITION OF AN IMAGE: BASIC CONCEPTS
- Before taking a photo it is necessary to design
- What to know to compose: The Format of an Image; Subject-background relationship; Rule of Thirds

Cost:
One person: $700.00 ($35.00 per hour)
Two people: $1000.00 ($50.00 per hour)
Group size limited to a maximum of 2 students to ensure intimate instruction and best learning environment as well as in-depth review of each of the students’ cameras

Schedule of the course:
5 weeks,
1 session of 4 hours per week;
or two full days of 8 hour sessions and one 4 hour field trip;
or we can work out a custom schedule, but we need at least 4 hours per each session.
