Galápagos. Isla – Floreana – Island.

It is just paradise. / Es simplemente el paraíso.

Baby Flamingos.

Our visit to Floreana island consisted of two parts, in the morning we visited Cormoran Point and in the afternoon we visited the famous Post Office.
The visit to Cormoran was fabulous. We got to the island very early and because of that we enjoyed the landscape without interruptions.
The beach was the first we visited that did not have white sand. The sand was red.
We went immediately to a shallow pond near the beach that was filled with Flamingos. Without realizing when, we spent one and a half hours there.
Then, we walk to the other side of the point and we ended up in a new beach, this time with white sand, it was amazing that it could change so much with such a short distance.
At the beach we had the privilege to enjoy a group of Rays swimming right at the shore from one side to the other. Here I got another of my favorite photos from the trip.
The visit of the Post Office was interesting. I did not bring my camera with me, because we were going to do snorkeling at that beach (I know, big mistake) but you could go look online for a picture, I mean, it has been exactly the same for a very long time.
The idea of the Post Office is that you leave a post card with an address and you will receive it there without using stamps or a post service. How? Well, because another tourist or traveler, that turned out to be your neighbor, will take it and deliver it. I did not find a post card for Costa Rica, but I did leave one with my address on, lets see how long it will take it to make it.

As we got to the island we saw this juvenil heron.

The landscape plus the flamingos. / El paisaje más los flamingos.

Black neck stilt. / Tero real.

This is my favorite photo of the flamingos.

Galapagos brown pelican. / Pelícano.

Frigate bird with its prey. / Una fragata con su presa.

Did I mentioned that I also got to see a Penguin? This is probably one of the most exciting things for me in Galápagos. I love this birds that are beautiful and don't fly.

Rayas. Estoy tan orgullosa de esta foto. / Rays. I am so proud of this photo.

AH! we also saw delfins when we left Floreana. I also love this photo.
